My name is Gundega. I am a Latvian. I love to knit.
Knitting is my hobby that was not so much appreciated when I lived in Latvia. Knitting is not a business, I cannot knit to make money. Knitting for me is expression of all my positive emotions and my way of art. Also, knitting is my meditation and self-psychotherapy to overcome everyday stress and survive extraordinary situations of life. For me, knitting is a fun that makes me feel good at any circumstances. I have to knit to keep fit.

Knitting is also my way of communication – by knitting I usually say thanks for friendship, but sometimes I knit to somebody to say that I would like to be friends. I like to knit to my relatives – this way, despite of thousands of kilometers distance from them, I feel closer. I would like them to wear my knits and feel that I am far, but always besides. I knit something to my new relatives – to say that I am part of the family, and I care: I learn about them, and I think about them. Knitting friendship – is the moto of this website. I still have a lot to knit – I have many friends, whom I have not thanked yet for their friendship, and I hope there will be more.
