Scrunchies

Knitted scrunchies are back in fashion! In addition, a hand-knitted scrunchy is a nice little present for friends. It is easy and fast to knit it, and to develop a personalized scrunchy, a knitter can use all beautiful yarn remains. Here are some examples of my scrunchies. They all are knitted in 2023.

Loudspeaker bags

As an active knitter, I usually like to try something new. To my mind, everything can be knitted. And sometimes people even do not know that something that they need, can be just created with a little bit of yarn, knitting needles and some creativity! When I noticed that my German teacher is using an old sock to protect her desk loudspeaker, I came up with an idea of a knitted loudspeaker bag. In addition, I made it very personal – the colors and pattern are matching to the particular person. Studying my next German course, I noticed that also another German teacher does not have a proper loudspeaker bag, and created one for her, too. Here are my two loudspeaker bags. I am not sure, if I ever will knit any other loudspeaker bag, but never say never!

A Case for a Hot water bottle

I am not a fun of hot water bottles, but recently I realized that it can be very useful. It can bring heat fast and exactly at the right spot. In order to make this “heater” aesthetically enjoyable, in fall 2023 I knitted a case for it – using bamboo-elastic self-pattern yarn. Knitting – like a big sock.

Pillow cases

I knitted these pillow cases to match the colors of our wall-blanket. Knitting them, I used the coloring of the wall blanket and different Latvian patterns. Summer 2025.
