My name is GUNDEGA. I am a Latvian. I love to knit. Knitting is my hobby, which has flourished since I am away from Latvia. Knitting is not a business, not a way to make money. For me, knitting is expression of all my positive emotions and it is my art.

This website is my knitting GALLERY. It includes pictures of my latest knits. There is a story behind each picture of the inspirations that motivated creation of each particular knit.

This website is not about professional knitting, it is about the most important relationship in the world – FRIENDSHIP. Knitting is my way of communicating and expressing friendship, bridging the great distances that separate me and my loved ones. Knitting friendship – is the moto of this website. I still have a lot to knit – I have many friends, whom I have not yet thanked for their friendship, and I hope there will be more.

Knit fits! I knit to keep mentally fit. Knitting is also a type of meditation and self-psychotherapy to overcome everyday stress and survive extraordinary situations of life. Knitting helps me to feel efficient and engaged – I am not wasting time by waiting and doing nothing… I am always knitting something, and hence I am never bored.
